I have downloaded the ISO file and have run wubi. All the files seem to have been extracted. I get a message to reboot to complete installation.

On rebooting, I find Ubuntu below Windows XP, On selection of the same, i get a prompt saying "For more installation options, press Esc". There is a timer for 5 sec after which this screen clears and there is a cursor at the top left of the screen. Nothing else happens and I have to reboot. I am not able to go to Ubuntu.

Can someone pl help me with the problem and guide me as how to get Ubuntu working? Thanks in advance

Give it 5 min before rebooting, i think the kernel is still loading when you reboot the pc.

Also make sure you have removed the cd from the drive!

What are you system specs? Is it an older machine?

I was under the impression he was using poweriso or something to mount it.
