Open an application with different theme in Natty

Hi,

How can I open an application in Natty with a theme different from the default one. I've tried different combinations from the post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1488707 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1488707) and similars:




env GTK2_RC_FILE="/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" gedit
env GTK2_RC_FILE='/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' gedit
env GTK2_RC_FILE='/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' gedit
GTK2_RC_FILE='/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc' gedit
but none of them seems to work. Do I need any package or I'm forgetting something.
