Greetings,
I have backported KDE 4.8 on my laptop in (K)(L)Ubuntu 11.10 (I say this as I have GNOME, Unity, KDE and Lubuntu all loaded on it, along with Enlightenment).
Whenever I insert a USB drive, Plasma crashes. I have added my experience in a bug report.
The crash isn't fatal; it doesn't require a reboot. However, it immediately adds all these notifications into the system tray. I see no way to delete or clear these. They take up space on the bottom panel (sans icons) so I have to hide them to recoop panel space. I'm attaching a capture of what I'm seeing. (The #/org/kdenotificationstatus/1 lines are what I'd like to get rid of).
Any way to clear these? Other than logging out, of course.
