Dear Friends,

I want to install and use ubuntu as main only os in my laptop and i want an application which is used for audio and video chats for my yahoo messenger, skype and google voice and google chat.

which runs perfectly and without software or system crash.

you can use empathy for that
http://live.gnome.org/Empathy

but for skype you install skype app in your Ubuntu .

thats also one of the app which can support gtalk and gvedio .


for yahoo messanger specifically

But i support Empathy as best one among all , have you tried it ?
