Change language in console

Hello all,

my native language isnt english, so when I installed linux, i have chosen system to be in my language. But now I would like to change it. Preferably I would like console/terminal to be in english, but gnome should stay in my language. I found few solutions but none of them work. I'm linux noobie :-)

It works realy nice :-) is there way to change even keyboard? and make it permanent?
