I've long wondered why the apport frontend queried me about sending a crash report and then after I clicked "yes," it said that none could be sent.
I take it, now, that ticking the "submit statistical information" box at synaptic package manager>settings>repositories>software sources>statistics doesn't enable apport?
It's always seemed to me that how often an app crashes, why, and under whichever circumstances directly influences it's popularity.
