View Full Version : I need an auto-indenting, syntax-highlighting editor for javascript...

Hi there folkies. Are you all okay? :-)

I would like an auto-indenting, syntax-highlighting editor, which auto-indents my code as well as Dreamweaver does, for HTML and javascript. Bluefish is my current editor, and I have just installed "geany" also, but I cannot seem to see how to get it to auto-indent, easily.

I don't want to spend hours hand-editing config files - I have enough javascript to learn, without having to learn an entirely new config syntax, just to get it to work.

If you can help, I'll be very happy and also grateful for your time.

Thank you, and God bless :)

I don't do JavaScript, but I would be very surprised if vim didn't handle it correctly.

Vim? Ugh. I like nano, but I want a GUI :)

Thank you though! :D

It looks like Eclipse has a javascript plugin and various tools.
