i need to set a file association for magnet links in chromium on lubuntu 12.04
dont know where to start

probably best to set it up system wide. download the magnet link file, go to properties, and specify the application you want to open it from there, and then chromium should use that setting

that doesn't work.

I've entered a bug report. hopefully this bugfix which wasn't broken in 11.10 will be fixed

I have GNOME environment.
The process in Ubuntu is to edit using a tool called gconf-editor.
I dont think it is available for Lubuntu..but you can give it a shot..

You cannot download Magnet link files.There is no file extension called magnet link.Its just establishes direct connection between server nd ur PC

Doesn't work for Lubuntu. Flash is terrible in Firefox right now, and magnet links do not work in Chrome/Chromium. I hate having to use two browsers.

Many comments says it's working great in Lubuntu.
