Hi friends

I'm experimenting on new technologies and I've installed a lamp server on my old computer but now I don't know what to do with it.

I'm going over this tutorial by IBM (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/web/tutorials/wa-lamp/section3.html) that shows what you can do with a lamp server but then I got stuck because the tutorial was doing mysql in GUI and my server has no GUI installed.

Can anyone point me to a similar tutorial that showcases what I can do with an Ubuntu LAMP server?

I'm looking over the link you gave me and that's a lot of cool stuff I didn't know I could do. Thanks!

Do you also happen to know a tutorial on how to build a web server with LAMP?

This is a good place to start: https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/C/web-servers.html
