View Full Version : [SOLVED] Natty goes to sleep, then needs a log-in to start

My recent installation of Natty on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, like a previous recent installation of Ocelot(now abandoned), goes to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity, regardless of the power saving instructions not to.
(Never had this problem in earlier 8.04/9.04/10.04 installations.)

It also then needs me to log in again, which is a pita, so I'd like ideas on how to prevent this happening.

I've tried switching the Power manager off and on, but there's no difference.
Is Caffeine the only answer to what seems to be a not-uncommon problem ?

Any other suggestions I'd like to try ?
John
