I have weird marks all over my PC and speakers. I'm not sure whether I touched it with greasy hands, if the paint is getting run down, or what.

Anybody know what this is? Comp4.jpg shows a sample of the marks all over the side of the case.

On a side note, anyone know of a good scratch remover (paint) for computers?

I don't know dude, Your pics aren't really too clear there.

Do you smoke.??? In the house..

Do you try to clean that stuff on a regular basis.?

As far as scratch remover goes, you could try Bar Keepers Friend..

Paint (well spray paint).?, You could try Duplicolor rust control, It's very durable.. Or Krylon Fusion plastic paint, It's real tough too... But for plastic parts...

It could be the acids in the oil of your skin doing that..

Nobody in my house smokes. I clean it with water on a regular basis. The acid in my skin is an idea. I'm a horomonic teenager.

Think we need better pics or a better explanation of the marks before we can really help much.

If it's a surface stain and not etched or scratched into the surface, and water didn't help, some other things to try would be other household cleaning products like 409 or windex, isopropanol alcohol (drugstore rubbing alcohol is pretty dilute but worth a try) or something called "Goo Gone." Goo Gone is awesome stuff, cleans up duct tape residue perfectly, but it smells like a petroleum base and I'm worried it could harm paint/plastic.

As for the case scratches, have you looked on modding sites to see what those guys use?

Colored --- spots, also called pigmented lesions (such as freckles, moles, or flesh-colored skin spots). or growths (such as warts or tags) may be present at birth or develop as it ages.(from here (http://www.webmd.com/hw/skin_and_beauty/aa64591.asp))

If you need anything stronger than plain water for cleaning, I recommend using isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol).

It's the best stuff for cleaning plastic, electronics and other sensitive stuff. It doesn't damage plastic and it evaporates quickly leaving no marks. And it's cheap. You can probably get some from your local pharmacist, at least that's where I buy it here in Finland.

I use it for everything, cleaning camera lenses, CD's and DVD's, cleaning computer parts and even for windows ;)

With Water.? Why just water.?? Thats not going to clean a thing..

Nah man, You need to at least use something like Windex or 409 or something..

Or at the very least "Rubbing Alcohol" :-k
