I am looking for a bash command or a SH script that will automatically press the letter [X] on my keyboard every 5(five) seconds without it pressing the [ENTER] key. I have looked through a few programs like xvkbd and autotyper but all these don't seem to fit my needs.
the xvkbd is in microseconds and for one I have to have my mouse arrow over the letter that I want repeated and the autotyper would be perfect except it hits the [ENTER] key. Maybe there is some program I haven't tried that someone may know about, that can help me accomplish what I need or know of a way to write out a [Bash Script] or [Python Script] that can allow me to have the letter [X] key on my keyboard pressed every 5 seconds until I use the CTRL+C to cancel the operation?
Can someone help me with this, Please?
Thanks in advance.
