how to completely remove mate effects on ubuntu

in this thread of mine i was trying to install many ubuntu desktop environmetnts i installed mate
it changed many things of my unity desktop which i hate
i want to get rid of them
i have removed mint from ubuntu repos so usc is not working
i have removed completely mate and mint packages by searching them in synpathic still the stupid effects are there how to get rid of them

Look for and delete any folders in home/hidden folders . I am not familiar with mate , so you may want to check the file system as well . You will need administrator permissions to remove items from the file system . Restart after deleting everything .

i searched a lot and removed many files i restarted my system but nothing happens
