ubuntu-gnome x64 always start in safe mode!!

Hello all,

i made some stupid things with my ubuntu 10.10 and i have some problem now.I try to change ubuntu login screen by installing an older version of gdm (actually gdm-2.20.10) and after that problems starts.When i reboot in normal mode,gdm or kdm starts in graphics mode like safe mode.Does anybody know how can i fix this error??
I try: sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm or kdm but nothing..

Please help before made a clean install of ubuntu!!

Try restoring your system. That is a good help, do you know how to restore it to a certain time? It's really easy.
