Unable to upgrade maverick meerkat...help needed

during an upgrade process from 10.04 to 10.10 my computer got shut due to power breakdown now I am unable to upgrade to any version because the softwares and programs including upgrade manager has broken and got corrupted. Tried to upgrade from terminal but it showed the following message:
