matlab in ubuntu

i want to install matlab R2007b in ubuntu11.04. i have a .exe matlab file. when i run it it show an error.

To Run a .EXE file you gonna need WINE .

As mentioned above, Matlab should run well under WINE (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=49).

You might also be interested in Octave (http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/) which is fairly similar to Matlab, but has the benefit of being Free Software.
