Hi All,
I am in the State of Maine, and I'm Very interested in taking the Linux+ exam, as well as possibly taking a college type course with that objective in mind. Anyone know about this subject?

yes.

what do you want to know ?

It is a basic exam which covers linux sysadmin skills at a basic level.

if you take and pass the 2 exams you also get LPI level 1 and Novell Linux cert also.

get yourself a Linux+ book like the one from sybex and work through it and get used to CLI and you should be good.

It doesnt really require the expense of a course as it is a basic level but depends on your learning style and knowledge.

here is some cheap training http://www.classroomdoor.com/ecommerce/complete-list-of-online-courses.asp and they have a linux course which covers alot of the linux + objectives but doesnt map directly to the cert for $89

there is plenty of free linux training out there if you look
