Ok, I built a completely windows-free system and installed Ubuntu 11.10 x64 on it. Now, I will need frequent help with my complete transition into the Linux world. It's been a while since I've been on a linux-only machine and I'm very rusty on things.

How do I now install vim with python support enabled? I have not installed vim yet. And The python installed is 2.7.2+, the one that came with the ubuntu installation. I will be using Numpy and Scipy extensively, so if anyone wants to get me ahead in that direction as well, that will be great. But basically vim with python support is the first thing I need on this system.

Edit: By "With python support" I mean having the ability to run a python script from inside the editor.

Ok, I got this done. Now if I want to get the same thing working with python 3.2 do I just install python 3.2 and repeat the process?
