Hi everyone,

What is the simplest way to install gcc 4.3 on oneiric?
As far as I see it is not in the repository. I have attempted to download some source and compile it, but that failed. (And as I am no expert, I only tried that like 'maybe it works...' using some voodoo I found on the web. If this is the only way, I will try again and specify the errors in detail.)
I don't care too much if the current gcc is still availible afterwards. (Or does 4.3 have any serious issues?)

Background: I am using matlab R2011b and want to be able to compile .mex-files, which is only possible with gcc 3.4.x. My architecture is 32 bit.

Thanks in advance
