View Full Version : Bluetooth UUID

I did google before posting it here, but the UUID feature in bluetooth is still not clear to me.

What I can make out is that its a unique 128 bit which identifies your application. I comprehended it as a kind of port number in a device to which the bluetoothsocket binds, which is unique and to which an app might listen to. But I was trying something out in which I send a file from my android application to a blackberry device.

I used a random UUID but I get a service discovery error.

Can anyone please enlighten me in layman terms?
