problem in " arabic encoding "

guy hello
I have a problem in supporting arabic language ... the letters are appearing in verse way .

I even can't understand why when I set a subtitle ( arabic one ) for a movie it shows like no other language !
sometimes seem like question marks instead of letters

I did tried to install libfribidi0_0.20-1_i386.deb
didn;t help .

please i really need help

I have ubuntu 11.04
