I have recently downloaded 11.04 and burned a dvd and have a previously burned version of 10.10 from a friend.
I install the dvd. It goes to the language screen, then the countries, to keyboard layout, and it scanned dvd rom no problems.
When it starts " load installer components from cd"
I get an error message " There was a problem reading data from the cd rom. Please make sure it is in the drive. If retrying does not work, you should check the intregrity of your cd rom. Failed to copy file from CD-Rom. Retry?" Selecting yes does nothing. I select no
It gives me a message that the installation failed.
When my computer tries to read the dvds of either version
I then check the disc intregrity on both copies and its the same error.
"The./pics/debian.jpg file failed the MD5 checksum verification. Your cd-rom or this file may have been corrupted."
I then abort the install. Any help would be awesome.
