metasplot cannot connect to database connection reset

Hey guys I have installed and customized my ubuntu 11.10 pc and am wanting to use metaspliot and armitage on it. Problem is that when I try to get the connection information from the msfgui it keeps saying connection reset. Do I need to change the port? If so how do I go about doing it?

ok I have figured out how to get the msfgui to run properly and get my connection info needed for armitage but am having trouble getting armitage to do anything after I put in the connection information
