Can compiz work with nouveau ?

I'm having trouble with the nvidia closed source driver after a kernel update. (No X with latest kernel), so I switched to nouveau.

I'm now back to a primitive state, where I have X working again (with nouveau ), but no compiz, and no twin X displays with my two monitors.

Is it possible to get compiz running with nouveau ?

Is it also possible to get two X displays running with nouveau?

No - For 3d you will still need the Nvidia drivers untill nouveau is perfected.
What Card- Kernel - Driver - and version (32/64) of Ubuntu are you using ?
You shouldn't be having trouble with 10.10 with the correct drivers.
