Installation of Ubuntu on Mobo

Hi...I have a computer I built a few years back with an Xfx nForce 680i LT mobo. I have a newer computer I built where the video card was installed on the mobo and the installation was a breeze. I now want to install Ubuntu on my older rig where there is GeForce video card. Will Ubuntu see the video card during the install? Is this mobo ideal for linux?
