My Ubuntu 11.10 video slowly breaks up.

When I hover over my icons in the luncher, some of the words are partly displayed and can sometimes completely pixelated. My Mozilla Firefox, the "X" on the folder tabs will become half way displayed.

You may be able to install different video drivers -- but we can't help you without knowing the make and model of your video chipset.

To find that out, open a terminal and enter "lspci" (without the quotes). Then, look for the line containing "VGA" -- that will list the make and model of your video chipset. Post that information back here.
