Debian boot splash after upgrade

I've searched the forum and if it's here I missed it.
I did and update /upgrade this today. now my boot splash is debian instead of ubuntu. It's no big deal everything still boots but just sorta strange would like the ubuntu splash back.
anyone help?

I decided to do a clean install , that solves the problem but still never got an answer on how to correct the original problem.
