For me it's more like this. I've never been a tech enthusiast and i've always thought of computers as a tool only. When it came to my computer i was virtually emotionless.
Since i've discovered the world of Linux (more or less Ubuntu, i must say), i feel joy everytime i start my laptop.
I drink my morning coffee, read the news, browse through some forums and so on, jog, study, read a lot, write some texts/stories in LibreOffice (using Ubuntu font that i really like :) ) and really i must admit that Ubuntu opened a whole new perspective for me, not only on technology, but also on life itself with it's philosophy, which is compatible with mine.

Here, my confession :)

Typical day starts with breakfast and sleepy drive to work. Followed by hours of windows XP torture at work (not a bad windows OS but being used well beyond its sell by date and full of network guff that slows it to a crawl - and did I mention the crashing?). Day ends with Ubuntu serving up a film to my PS3 and me playing with Crunchbang on my old (and I mean Old) laptop cos the film sucks. Happy days! :)
