Full resolution not filling screen

I just recently installed 11.10 and gnome-shell. Everything looks great in Unity, but in gnome-shell the desktop doesn't fill my entire monitor. Is there a simple fix to this? I have the proprietary drivers installed (excpet the one that said with updates failed).

I quickly found the solution. I went into the AMD Catalyst Control Centere that was installed and changed the scaling options. The Overscan needed to be set at 0%.
