OK, I have "Ubuntu-10.4-netbook-i386.iso" downloaded on a USB stick. I wish to upgrade my netbook from an early (obsolete) version of Easy Peasy. Do I erase the existing version? How?

Easy 1-2-3-4 instructions here:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download

The installer will give you the option to use the entire drive, if you choose this option it will delete your Easy Peasy and all data on the drive (so be sure you back up any documents/files to an external drive).

OK, everything installed correctly. Only one glitch remains:

Upon startup, I get a text screen with several boot options:

Linux 2.6.32-38-generic
Linux 2.6.32-38-recovery
EasyPeasy 1.0 etc. etc. (if I select this, nothing happens - that O/S is erased, I think.

At the bottom of the screen, a timer counts down from 10 and boots the "generic" version at the top of the list, which is what I want. In the old days of DOS, this would be part of the "autoexec" process.

How can I make the machine boot to "generic" without waiting?
