Hi, I dont know if this is the right place for this thread. Please move it if you think it's not the right place.

That aside, coming to problem. I have HP DV 2500T laptop which is taking his last few hicups. It is going blank and there seems to be issue with battery and inverter. So I don't plan on investing more money on this laptop. Okay coming to question, I have a budget of 700$ and i don't want to purchase acer, HP and Lenovo laptops as they do have issues like this with screen, battery and overheating.
So are dell laptops good?

I have seen dell inspiron 15n5050 laptop which is in my budget and has 2gb ram and 2nd gen i3 processor. Is it worth purchase? I am asking that because i want to purchase this laptop keeping next ubuntu 12.04 graphics and other heavy work in mind. I just hope 2gb is enough for next release of ubuntu?

Please suggest if you have any other laptop suggestion under 700 bucks (USD).
Thanks

The Dell Vostro is a really good deal right now. http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=bqct25&c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&model_id=vostro-1540
