built in webcam

i have been readign forum posts all mornign to no avail

no, cheese or any other program recognizes my webcam.
when i initially installed ubuntu it did though.
its a built in webcam on an HP piece of crap laptop.

basically, i would liek to know how to install a driver?
all teh help i found in other threads suggests a USB camera, this is a built in that is not recognized by my OS.

64bit ocielacios ocelot or whatever its called, i dont know how to check it

Even built in cameras have to communicate with board, using USB probably. Does it show up in lsusb output?

i think one of teh first thign si did was runt aht and i had 4 empty usb output paths... but remind me hwo to run teh check again to be safe
