Hi...I am a new to the world of ubuntu. I have a question about using RAID on Ubuntu. I want to make a file server. My friend suggested I shoud use Ubuntu Desktop and not the Ubuntu server. I have already installed Ubuntu and it works great. My question comes in configuring my hard drives.
I have three hard drives. One with 250GB where ubuntu is installed. I also have a matched pair of 500GB hard drives that I would like to mirror for storing and serving files. I have read through the threads and Ubuntu documetation and feel more confused. I was hoping someone could help me setup my system with Ubuntu on the 250GB HDD. And have my two 500GB mirrored and use for file serving. I appreaciate the help.
Currently my mobo sees all three HDD. But Ubuntu only sees the 250GB. I am aware that this is the case since I have not mounted them.
