View Full Version : [SOLVED] Really, really weird glitch...

So, I was trying to install Neverhood (an old Win95 point & click game) via Wine. I thought I'd try running it first. Neverhood went full-screen and black. I had to hard reboot to get back to a screen.

After rebooting, *this* happened?

See that little white block at the top? That's the auto-hidden xfce4 panel. It used to be grey and pretty much unnoticeable. Now it's making me OCD.

I also notice that the grab bars have turned white (on right):

So... I can't find the setting that will turn the grab bars and (presumably) the auto-hidden panel back to an unobtrusive grey so they won't stick out like sore thumbs.

Edit: Well... I've figured out that changing the "Style" under Appearance, in Settings, will change the grab bar colors. The complete mystery is why trying to run Neverland screwed up the color settings in the Ambiance theme. I see the settings in usr/share/themes/ambiance/ but don't yet know what colors to change in those settings.

Well -- that was really, really weird. I ended up re-downloading and re-installing the theme. This fixed the problem. What exactly happened remains a complete mystery, but at least I solved the problem. Wouldn't mind knowing how to edit these themes though. Advice anyone?
