server install problem, no resume image

I have old version 8.04 of Ubuntu server and now trying to install ubuntu server 11.10. Checked all boot options and CD from other system but message appear as
kinit: no resume image, doing normal boot
tried a lot from web help nothing work.

How to boot ubuntu server 11.10 from ISO image CD to existing system of Ubuntu server 8.04?

Got answer myself.............my cd drive is not working properly and able get boot from same file system initially but problem further ...changed cd drive....able to install any version.
