Using Ubuntu 10.04 with Grub 2. It's first on menu of a triple boot system. XP is 2nd on the menu. I want to remove Ubuntu 10.10, the last on the menu. I then want to give XP the free space I recover from removing 10.10.

What is best method to use to boot 10.04 first or XP second on the menu?

Hello

Just:
1) use OS-Uninstaller (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OS-Uninstaller) to remove 10.10 (free space will be automaticqlly formatted in NTFS, so you can use it with both xp and 10.04)
2) i don't recommend to give XP the free space because it may break your xp. But if you really want it, use Windows tools.

If your XP setup doesn't have any partitioning tools, you can download and install the free versions of either Partition Wizard or EASEUS Partition Master. Either tool will work well in MS Windows to do partitioning.
