desktop window something something thingy

Can I somehow modify my windows to have their 'hide', 'expand', 'close' (or what they're actually called) functions to appear on the right side like in Windows and not on the left side like in Macintosh and such? Feels very clumsy to have it there, and I don't think it's just a matter of habit.
