My mouse pointer spontaneously seems to be wrong calibrated. Mouse actions are impossible until I toggle to an other workspace.

- its independend of what programs are running
- all parts of the desktop are affected
- it happens with all kind of window applications (firefox, thunderbird, nautilus, ...)
- it disapears shortly if I switch to an other workspace and return to the previous one to continue the mouse operation (click | right click | mouse ofer)
- it effects all mouse events: click, mouse over, right click
- its independend of external connected devices
- touchpad, bluetooth mouse, usb mouse ... its all the same
- a system restart helps for a few minutes

I had had this problem a couple of times, almost after return from suspend mode, but now its permanently.

System: Mac Book Pro 5, Ubuntu 11.10, Gnome Desktop

Has anyone a idea what that could be or how to track the error. Which log file contains related informations? Is my xorg.conf wrong?

Thank you for taking some time for my problem.
