If you would give the model number of your wireless adapter it probably won't be hard to find a driver.

802.11 is just the wireless standard. You can probably take a cover off the bottom and see what model it is. Or if you still have windows on it you can go to Device Manager and get the model there.

According to this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1607533) the kernel comes with drivers for that card. Have you turned on the wireless using wireless button on the laptop? Do you have an option for a wireless connection in the drop-down menu from the networking widget on the top bar?

You're welcome- I did the exact same thing with my first installation of Bodhi Linux. Tore my hair out for hours before I realized I just needed to use the right hotkeys to activate the wireless...
Glad to be of help. Mark this thread [SOLVED] if you would, using the thread tools menu at the top of the thread. Thanks!

hello all, I have a similar problem, I have an Acer Aspire 5250, and the wireless card is an AR5B95, any ideas on why it won't work? Even hard wiring doesn't work, and I have had to play pass the pendrive from one computer to the other, and I'm getting sick of it...

forget all of that, I accidentally installed the wrong disc, me bad... (sheepish grin) anyhow, I'm now running 11.10, and it seems really nice...
