I am using 10.04 lts 64bit. I installed it through my base system of WINXP SP3. After a problem with grub upgrade my machine became unaccessible. Then from forum's suggestion I have locked the upgrade/update of "grub-pc" & "grub-common" in synaptic and running the two systems side by side with no problem.
Now, Update Manager is requesting a partial upgrade which includes upgraded version of "grub-pc" and "grub-common". So far I have not opted for the Partial Upgrade.
I require expert opinion in this regard.
Please help.
