Hi all,

I apologise if this topic has been addressed, but I've had little luck finding anything, even with Google.
I still use 10.10 because I dislike Unity and Gnome3. What I'm wondering is, is it possible to get the Gnome2 source out of 10.10 and build it on something like 11.10? Or even a different OS?
I can't seem to get my hands on the Gnome2 source anywhere. I just tried 'apt-get source gnome' in 10.10 but it downloaded two small packages. Is there a quick way to get my hands on the whole lot in one go, or would I have to go package by package?

Cheers,
Gargravarr

You might have a look at JHBuild.
http://live.gnome.org/Jhbuild
I don't know if you can build GNOME 2 or not but JHBuild is supposed to be configurable.
