installation of texmaker in ubuntu 11.04

If I run ./texmaker it is giving an error

./texmaker: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

if I give whereis libtiff.so.3 it is giving,

Actually I don't know how to deal with soft links,kindly help...

Might be easier to use a .deb package to install ?

actually first i installed texlive and I can create a document using it from terminal commands....I need an IDE that is the problem......:neutral

please help me asap...
