I'm having an issue with Nautilus accessing a Raid volume and other drives. I have two examples.
Here at work I have Ubuntu 11.10 installed on one drive and windows on another. If I mount the windows drive my system slows down and becomes unresponsive for several minutes. This I just noticed today.
At home I have Ubuntu 11.10 installed on a single drive and I also have a Raid 5 array ext4 that I mount as needed. Its sort of a NAS but internal. I always noticed that Nautilus became slower and slower when I was moving lots of files on the array but for the past few weeks it has become unusable. My system memory hits 100% and my system becomes unresponsive for several minutes. I have checked my Raid all drives are healthy and clean, benchmarking is good etc.
I'm think I'm going to reinstall 10.10 unless someone has an answer to fix this problem.
