View Full Version : [ubuntu] Still using gtk2 after upgrading to gtk3

i downloaded libgtk-3 dev,doc etc and all the packages and when i enter:


dpkg -l libgtk[0-9]* | grep ^i


i get the output:

ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.6-0ubuntu5 The GTK+ graphical user interface library

but how?i downloaded gtk3 and i want to use gtk3 :)

I am running 11.10 and your command gives me the same output.

What ubuntu are you running anyhow?

what exactly do you mean?i am using ubuntu oneiric ocelot with Unity and i can see that some apps use GTK3 like gedit but i am still using GTK2
