Cant stop demo

I installed Ubuntu 11.10 onto my laptop and only runs the Ubuntu demo/tour. Not sure how to fix.

What do you mean demo? Did you remove the CD from the drive? Is this an Ubuntu CD you downloaded from the Ubuntu website or did you get it elsewhere? Did you actually install Ubuntu and if so, what process did you use to do that?

I created a bootable USB stick and downloaded it from Ubuntu.com

If you are running Ubuntu from the USB stick then using the Try Ubuntu option is the correct way to use it. You need to give more information as it is not very clear how you are using Ubuntu or what is it that is wrong.
