How does Xubuntu compare to FreeBSD+Xfce?

How does Xubuntu compare to FreeBSD+Xfce?

Xubuntu is a novice-friendly Linux.
FreeBSD is not Linux, maintaining it requires much more than clicking buttons on Update Manager. I'm not sure if there even is a GUI for system management. I've been using FreeBSD for a long time but never felt the need to install any GUI tools. It's just much more convenient from CLI.
Regarding Xfce - I assume the feel and look are the same.
