can't install ubuntu via usb

i install several times ubuntu via usb
but now i fail
if use my usb-sata ports the installer say no live image found
if i use my usbports the installer starts, but iam not able to use the keyboard or mouse (even the red led of the mouse is off)

i figured out now the reason, after i choose the option in the boot menu i have i voltage drop down on the usb ports o.O so the keyboard and so on can't work....
has anyone an idea?
