Cannot Login anymore

Hi,

I have wubi installed. It was working sluggish so I rebooted. Now, in the login screen I get a message:

Install problem
The configuration defaults for GNOME Power Manager
have not been installed correctly.
Please contact your computer administrator

And it is impossible to login. I can always login in console mode as root (recovery). What should I do to re-establish the login?
