Hello everyone,

I have ubuntu oneiric ocelot installed on my pc (11.10) and most frequently use the gnome 3 shell (for i think it looks totally awesome and works more practical)

When i start a program, it appears in the bar on top, the taskbar is guess, but if i start another program, it disappears from the taskbar and is replaced by the other program.

I was wondering if there is a way i can make all active programs visible on this taskbar, and if there is, how!!

Thanks in advance :)

I don't thinks so , I have found some shell themes that use text instead if icons and that would not work in that case . If you start adding extensions that use panel space for indicators the panel can fill up fast depending on the size of the monitor . https://extensions.gnome.org/

I thought this at first, but then I got used to it only showing the active application. I like how all of the running program management is done on the dash. As mentioned some of the extensions are good, you may like the dock one...

Give the Panel-Docklet F a try (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/105/panel-docklet/) I just installed it and so far it seems to be working pretty well

Yeah, that Panel Docklet is nice, easy to theme too but here's another one to look at https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/70/window-icon-list/

This is how the Window Icon List extension looks on my system. ( I disabled the show/hide desktop icon )
