I have installed eclipse ok, and managed to share my files from xp on a fat32 volume. It also edits and saves them ok.

The problem is that everytime i edit a file, it asks me to save it locally, i.e. not on my shared fat32 drive. BUT If i click cancel, i can edit and save it ok to my shared fat32 drive.

Is there a way to stop it asking me to save it locally?

Hi bohboh,
Does your workspace point to your fat32 volume?

Yes, it does. I already have projects which i was developing on in xp before making the switch to ubuntu. So what i did was to create php projects and set the workspace to be where the files live on my fat32 drive.

If you dont mind, i have a duplicate thread running about this here (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=211041) which spawned from letting other know about easyeclipse. So if you can help then by all means say.
